Cozi Pets was started up by myself, Marti, after my family and I moved to a new area away from our closest family and friends. After settling in we were ready for a holiday; the snag came when we realised that we did not know anyone close by well enough to ask them to look after all our pets.
 I wondered if there were other people having the same problem as myself, and found that there were! So I decided to extend my love of all animals to loving other peoples animals in their owners absence.
Over the years I have had countless pets of my own, from dogs to fish, from horses to tarantulas, I've looked after and loved them all. As a child the welfare of animals was something that I felt very strongly about; at the young age of 11 I even had my own newspaper article published as I was so concerned with the transportation of horses abroad for their meat and had been petitioning to get it stopped.
My love of animals continued to grow and as I got older I started to look after people's horses for them at the livery stables I attended; I also done house and petsitting for friends and family whilst they were away. However, my career didn't take the animal path I hoped it would, although I've still always had the same houseful of my own pets and looked after a few fury friends for family, I wasn't completely happy with what I was doing.
So I decided that happiness and job satisfaction had to come before wealth, and now I get to spend my days going for long walks with dogs, and playing and making a fuss of all my other Cozi Pet friends, whilst knowing that I've helped to give my clients the peace of mind that their loved ones are in safe hands.
Cozi Pets is owned and run by myself and never sub-contracts. I believe it is important to build up a trusting relationship with the person you plan to leave your animals with, therefore it will only ever be me that you deal with and me that comes to your home.
I use my own personal vehicle to make visits, so there will be no car parked outside your house with sign-writing advertising to the world that your house is empty!
Cozi Pets has third party public liability insurance, has been police checked and is a member of the National Association of Registered Petsitters.
